Most houses already have a room or two when they are built but some add more rooms whenever needed and possible. It may be a room for a new baby, another member of the family or a room for storage. In some cases, there are houses that can add a room at the side when there is still space on the lot. It can be used for guests or visitors. The garage can also become a room or, after a bit of remodelling, a room can be built on top of the garage. There will be some changes when a room is added but it can look as if there is only an additional door depending on its design.

Getting Ready for a New Family Member

Having a baby is always a miracle. Though we may know the science behind it all, it’s still a new life that is born into this world. Though the house may already be a bit crowded, we still need to get ready for a new member that is entering the family. Some houses have their own room for babies. For other houses, the room is still built if there is space or shared by siblings. Space is provided for a new crib, some toys and other stuff that the baby will need as he or she grows up. The room should also be well ventilated and cool. A lot of people also put carpet or rubber mats on the floor so the baby can play without much worries. Sharp objects and things are kept in a safe place. A safe environment is what we try to achieve. And of course we nurture the baby with love and care.

Though there will be a lot of sacrifices which may mean time, effort and money, it is still a wonderful feeling of excitement that an angel is going to be part of the household.

Another way to get creative is to create sculpture with a found object. Scour your backyard or street for a fallen tree branch and paint it a metallic shade. You will instantly get an organic sculpture that can be placed on a tabletop or shelf, or in a vase to hold earrings, bracelets, and necklaces.
